Fantasy Football: Week 7 Sleepers

Quarterbacks

Matt Cassel: Not really a sleeper since everyone has a good game against Jax, yet not widely owned and will be good bye-week replacement.

Donovan McNabb: Redskins might be forced to throw since the Bears do a good job against the run.  This game could turn out to be a shootout with Donovan beating Chicago’s secondary a few times.

Max Hall: the undrafted rookie is coming off a bye but going to Seattle which is a tough place to play.  He should have a full compliment of receivers and Seattle hasn’t been outstanding on the backend.

Running Back

Matt Forte: As if this guy wasn’t in must-start territory already, he’s facing the skins D which have struggled against the run all year.

Knowshon Moreno: Has been working his way back an 4.0 YPC vs. NYJ was impressive. This week he gets Oakland who are terrible versus the run.  Denver should take advantage of the opportunity to get its weak run game finally one track.

Chris Ivory: ride em if you got em…Thomas is out again and Ivory made his case for the majority of the work in the meantime last week.

Danny Woodhead: This guy keeps producing and there’s little reason to believe that will end on the road in San Diego.  Interesting flex play.

Wide Receiver

Robert Meachem: Has scored in two straight weeks and his number of snaps has risen as well. Had offseason surgery and seems to be at 100%.

Dwayne Bowe: Finally broke out last week with a huge effort and gets Jax this week to get the momentum going.

Mike Williams (both): Each is the #1 on their team, at home, against no the best teams in the league.

Steve Smith (Car, maybe both): Matt Moore hasn’t done a whole lot in his career but one thing he knows who to do is feed SS the ball.

Patrick Crayton: Floyd is out and Crayton has recorded a 100 yard game. Rivers will throw the ball a ton, as usual, therefore Buster Davis also makes a decent play this week.

Jason Avant: With DeSean Jackson injured Avant will move outside and should be a favorite target of Kolb Sunday when the Eagles play the Titans, especially because Finnegan will matchup with Maclin.

More Pickups:

Anthony Gonzalez–with Collie out a few weeks Gonzalez should be the WR3 for the Colts out of the bye.

Donald Brown–Addai is banged up as well, as usual and Brown could get the start out of the bye.

Fantasy Football Injury Report: Week 3

Knowshon Moreno-out

  • Buckhalter is in line for a good deal of carries versus a weak Indy run D.  What will we see from Maroney: something, nothing, or a lot??

Pierre Garcon-out

  • Huge upgrade for Collie.  Goodman has been hobbled this week. Blair White is worth a look in deep leagues.

Michael Turner-Playing (upgraded to probable)

  • Snelling should see some work but should not be started over top 20 backs.  Could still see goaline carries, depends on Turner.

Ryan Matthews-Will not play

  • Tolbert is a very good option and Sproles could be a part of the gameplan but is not a viable starting option in a standard league, deeper ppr poss.

Jerome Harrison-questionable

  • Did not practice this week.  Hillis figures to be the lead back with James Davis serving as his compliment.

Chris Ivory-probable

  • Ivory fully participated in Friday’s practice and is listed as probable for Sunday’s game against the Falcons, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.  Had a dominant preseason, although Betts was signed this week, Ivory could emerge as Thomas’ backup and a part of the offense.
