Fantasy Football Sleepers Week 9, 2011

WR

Jerome Simpson: Matching up against McCourtey and an over-achieving secondary to this point.  Finnegan is solid on the other side and should matchup well with Green.  I like Simpson’s chances of beating the #2 corner, although the decline in targets leaves a little hesitation.

Jason Avant: The reliable receiver in definitely in play this week.  He posted 8-83 last season versus the Bears and should find room to work underneath the zone.  He has scored 6 points or more in 3 of his last 4 games.

RB

Chris Ogbonnaya: PPR Special with the likelihood that the Browns will be trailing his receiving skills could be useful.

Taiwan Jones: D2 speedster seems likely to get some play.

QB

Matt Cassel: New receiving core showcased on MNF and should make plays versus the Dolphins, especially sans Davis.

Sam Bradford: If he plays…matches up with Arizona with his new weapons.  Lloyd already making a difference, Salas comfortable in the slot, and Steven Jackson is a gladiator.

D/ST

  • Raiders vs. Denver: Have improved against the run after rough start.
  • Falcons @ Colts
