Ranking the Tight Ends for Fantasy Football, working on RB and WR over the weekend.  Next month when I update the rankings I will include points per game last year and my projection for this year.  As you can see, this group is tiered as well.  As deep as the position has ever been.  Some injuries at the top, but nothing that can’t be overcome (See: Gronk replacing Gates on my team last year).

1. Antonio Gates
2. Dallas Clark
3. Jermichael Finley
4. Jason Witten

5. Vernon Davis
6. Marcedes Lewis
7. Jimmy Graham
8. Owen Daniels

9. Brandon Pettigrew
10. Chris Cooley
11. Rob Gronkowski
12. Kellen Winslow
13. Tony Gonzalez
14. Zach Miller
15. Dustin Keller
16. Aaron Hernandez

17. Jermaine Gresham
18. Tony Moeaki

Im gunna have to agree with your list with exception of leaving out Hernandez. He has got to be in the top 20 somewhere I’d take out watson in place of Hernandez…. He has too good of hands, speed and athleticism especially when setting up in the slot… One of the most dangerous this season i believe… Understood not top tier due in part to Gronk’s pressance but if he were on any other team he’d be a solidified #1 with exception of 8 teams.. other then that, good list and ranking, i especially like Daniels this year… WHEN is you RB list comming out?

Your probably right. I’m a big fan Hernandez, thought he was a steal in the 4th last year (thought he’d be drafted in the 2nd) and I owned him on a few teams. Great hands and good run after the catch. The way I see the Pats TE outside of individual matchups i Gronk is the play outside and Hernandez inside. Tough for me to rank him high when Gronk steal his TDs, but after not getting a WR and focusing on the run game, it would only be natural to assume that Hernandez takes a step up this year. Your right, he deserves to be in the top 20.

Haven’t posted anything in a week b/c I’ve basically been living at the hospital. Will try to get around to it but motivation is lacking at this point.

yea i am in a 16 team keeper pay league that is also PPR and IDP has 24 rounds with 1 qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, 1 te, 1 te/wr/rb and IDP 2 lb,2 db,2 dl and a flex there also to go with 7 bench players and a kicker of course… i picked up Hernandez in the 22 round…. a complete steal, so whom ever i keep (6 players off 2010 roster) moves up 2 rounds from previous draft year…. he would be a 20th round pick for me coming this year… I traded Schaub to the guy who lost Romo (boy did that work out for me! He picked Vick up in the 19th last year so he is a 17 for me this year)(OF COURSE KOLB WAS STARTING AND NO ONE KNEW WHAT VICK COULD DO COMING OUR COLD FROM PRISON)… i drafted run dmc in the 5th (be a 3rd) and then i picked up Stevie Johnson as a free agent the so he is a 22 for me this year… Now i have to choose between keeping 2 more player, A.dixon (14) Mike Goodson (16) Sydney Rice (7) Brian Urlacher (13) DeAngelo Willy (1), Darren Sproles at a (8 we also get KO and KR yard points) and Hernandez which would be a 20…. Could use a little help with this… Keep in mind that a lot of these guys kept R.B’s from the time they were rookies and got them in late rounds… aka c.johnson is a 5 and r.rice is a 7th round pick…. and the only rbs that will be available is gore (HE IS BEING DROPPED BECAUSE HE IS KEEPING S.JAX INSTEAD FOR HIS 1ST ROUND PICK) and someone like a rashaad jennings or someone of that stature, so, i just cant drop and pick up a bad ass back and you know how backs are in fantasy points especially since it is a ppr also. So do i keep Dixon in hopes that he turns out special with Gore in his last year and injury prone at a 14th round pick knowing that if he does then 3 years down the road from now he will (if kept the whole time) still be a 8th round pick for me)? I almost have to keep Goodson due to signs of greatness once given opp. especially at a 16th round this year…. but do i waste my 1st round pick on DeAngelo because i cant get another back at all with and credibility of potential greatness at the 15th pick in the 1st round? In hopes he vacates carolina to open more doors for Goodson? and hopefully himself? What would you recommend? I am currently trying to trade for Jamaal Charles as he was one of those who was drafted in late rounds his rookie season and kept this whole time and is a 11th round pick! I am offering up my 1st and 2nd round picks in this years draft to get him, i dunno if he will accept but being that run Dmc is my 3rd round pick thats all i can offer… even then if i give him my 1st, that means that i forfeit Deangelo Willy as he would had been my 1st round pick/keeper if i decided to keep him….ANY THOUGHTS!!!!!!!????? LOL

I HOPE EVERYTHING IS GOING AS well AS IT CAN WITHIN THE HOSPITAL WALLS FOR YOU MY FRIEND…. KEEP HOPES AND SPIRITS HIGH BUDDY!!!!
