Senior Bowl Preview 2011

The 2011 Senior Bowl will be played between the North and South today in Mobile, AL (4PM EST). The North team is a slight favorite, and in my opinion for good reason as they have the advantage on both lines of scrimmage.

The North offensive line is the strongest unit even with the injury to Carimi (out 7-10 days).  They are led by Soldier, Costanzo, Moffitt, and Brewer.  I love the North’s running backs led with by Kendall Hunter, and also featuring Murray, Scott, and Helu.  Other standouts on the North: Cam Jordan, Kendric Burney, Kaepernick, Greg Jones, Ryan Kerrigan, Titus Young, Vincent Brown, Casey Matthews, and Mason Foster.  The South has some good players as well: Von Miller, Ahmad Black, lightning fast Noel Devine, Derrek Sherrod, Danny Watkins, and TE/H-Back D.J. Williams.

Historically, the game is not close and there aren’t lots of points scored (under the number). It’s hard to predict how the teams will play, while there is more talent on the North roster from top to bottom you never know, but my money is on the North. Final score: 27-17 North wins wire to wire.
