Fantasy Football Week 8 Sleepers and Starts
Ben Roethisberger: The Saints were missing their top 3 CBs last week and it could be the same story this week. The Steelers are playing like an elite team with few holes and plenty of weapons to exploit an opponent’s flaws.
Matt Cassel: Been riding Cassel during this soft spot in his schedule and there seems little reason to deter from that strategy.
Matt Stafford: Has been recommended as a pickup for the last two weeks and for good reason. The former #1 pick has a rocket arm, plays for Detroit who leads the league in passing attempts, and has legitimate weapons around him.
Jon Kitna: One of the better backups in the league and gets Jax in his first start, has the weapons to post good fantasy numbers.
Ryan Fitzpatrick: Entered last week as #4 rated passer and had solid game @Balt.
Marshawn Lynch: The Seahawks’ new lead back returns home to Cali and faces a poor Raider rushing attack. If you haven’t noticed, Beast-Mode is back.
Beanie Wells: Beanie has had a very slow start to the year but TB might offer him quite the opportunity to breakout. See big things for Beanie on Sunday.
LT: Packers have so many injuries and no depth on the defensive line, LT has been playing like a man possessed and should have a big day coming off the bye.
LeGarrette Blount: The rookie finally got his first shot at being the man since he took a shot with his fist against an opponent in college. This guy is a bruiser and has looked impressive in Tennessee in the preseason as well as in Tampa. Cadilliac Williams has been very unimpressive and its about time this Thugette get another shot at beating up opponents.
Jamaal Charles: Charles should make a solid play as per the usual but this week especially he should be in all lineups.
Ryan Torian: Don’t know what else to say that I haven’t said before.
Mike Wallace: Should be able to beat the depleted Saints secondary a few times.
Pierre Garcon: The injury to Collie allows the Pierre Garcon breakout year to continue.
Dez Bryant: The rookie shined on the biggest stage on Monday night with 3 TDs. All his catches (5-54) came w/Kitna in the game.
Steve Johnson: Can’t be ignored.
Mike Williams (Sea.): Leads NFL in targets over last two weeks.
Kellen Winslow: Cardinals have given up 4 scores to opposing TEs.
Tony Moeaki: The Bills cannot defend the TE, even if safeties are playing linebacker.
