Matchups to Watch: Week Two

September 16, 2010 at 12:03 pm Leave a comment

Here are a few key matchups that could help determine winners on Sunday

Seattle @ Denver

  • Denver’s young and poor OL vs. Seattle’s new rushing formations and tactics

Philadelphia @ Detroit

  • Mike Vick v. Det defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham (keeping him contained)

New England @ NYJ

  • Wes Welker vs. Kyle Wilson (Boldin beat him deep a few times, another tough test)

Houston @ Washington

  • Shanahan vs. Kubiak: (Teacher/Student)

Baltimore @ Cincinnati

  • Ceddy Bens vs. Baltimore’s run D (Palmer always plays well versus Balt.)

Jacksonville @ San Diego

  • San Diego OL vs. Jax pass rush (invested a lot, can they bring it far from home)

Chicago @ Dallas

  • Doug Free vs. Julius Peppers (Kosiar and Columbo expected back but still big test for new LT, lots of blocking for J.Witten again.

Pittsburgh @ Tennessee

  • Pitt showed that their D is back in a big way last week.  VY and CJ2K create one of the most dynamic and difficult backfield combinations for anyone to cover, should be a great to watch.
